After my father passed away, I decided to go alone to a small danish island west of Jutland.  

My parents spent their first vacation together on this island.

For as long as I can remember, we went to this place as a family every fall.

westlich vom Jütland is an attempt to connect the past and the now, loss and acceptance through the medium of photography.
Whenever I feel the need, I return to this island. I combine the photographs taken there with the archived images of my parents.

The project has been ongoing ever since.
